LOCATION - Lat 37°33'43", long 86°02'12" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Hardin County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05110001, on right bank, 0.5 miles north of White Mills and at mile 78.7.
DRAINAGE AREA - 360 mi² of which 120 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1959 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest stage gage. Datum of gage is 590.37 feet above NGVD of 1988. Prior to June 8, 2005, gage located 1.6 miles downstream at datum 7.29 feet lower. Prior to January 8, 1960, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.
COOPERATION - Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet.
REMARKS - 10/01/2014-09/30/2017: Records good except for estimated daily discharges which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 24500 ft³/s, March 2, 1997, gage height, 36.46 ft.
