LOCATION - Lat 40°09'51.1", long 88°01'39.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.25, T.20 N., R.10 E., Champaign County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 05120109, on right bank at downstream side of bridge on County Road 1950 N, 0.75 mi east of the Salt Fork, 3.5 mi north of St. Joseph, and at mile 1.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 40.7 mi².

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Apr. 11, 2013 exceeded a gage height of 15.68 ft., observed, discharge 759 ft³/s, backwater from Salt Fork.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -
SURFACE WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Maximum discharge, 2,000 ft³/s, Dec. 29, 2015, estimated due to backwater from Salt Fork, gage height 18.82 ft.; minimum daily discharge, 1.36 ft³/s, Sept. 13, 2023.
NITRATE: Maximum, 19.9 mg/L, May 31, 2015; minimum, 0.0 mg/L, on many days.
