03431040 SEVENMILE CREEK AT BLACKMAN ROAD NEAR NASHVILLE, TN
LOCATION - Lat 36°04'21", long 86°44'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Davidson County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 05130202, at bridge on Blackman Road, 0.8 mi. upstream from U.S. Highway 31A/41A (Nolensville Road), about 1 mi. south of Grassmere Wildlife Park and 0.6 mi. upstream from mouth in Nashville, Davidson County.
DRAINAGE AREA - 12.2 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Crest-stage gage, 1965-2004; flood-hydrograph gage with permanent-record rain gage, Feb. 2, 2011, to current year.
GAGE - Flood-hydrograph station consisting of permanent-record rain gage, data collection platform, wire-weight gage, and peak-indicating crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 496.18 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Feb. 2, 2011 at datum 3.00 feet higher.
REMARKS - Only peak discharges above gage height 4.05 ft are reported.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 10,500 ft³/s, maximum gage height, 13.57 ft. (datum then in use), June 4, 1998. Flood of May 1, 2010, produced a peak of approximately 13.41 ft. (datum then in use). Flood of March 28, 2021 resulted in a recorded peak of 15.09 ft. (discharge unknown).
