LOCATION - Lat 35°19'39.21", long 84°42'18.60" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, McMinn County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 06020002, 1.9 miles southeast of Sanford, TN via CR-50 and CR-730, on the downstream side of the bridge, right bank.
DRAINAGE AREA - 57 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1954 to September 1989, November 2003 to present.
GAGE - Data Collection Platform and air pressure system. Datum of gage is 716.51 ft (NGVD 29).
REMARKS - Records rated fair except for estimated record which is considered to be poor, and other periods as noted. Rated poor, August 25-27, 2021.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 8,000 ft³/s, Mar. 16, 1973, gage height, 13.43 ft, from an indirect measurement; minimum discharge, 10.0 ft³/s, Sep. 30 and Nov. 7, 1985, a result of upstream bridge construction impeding flow.
