LOCATION - Lat 36°01'04", long 88°00'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Humphreys County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 06040005, at the downstream West end of bridge on U.S. Hwy 70, one mile Northeast of New Johnsonville, and at river mile 100.5.
DRAINAGE AREA - 38,520 mi², from TVA publication published in 1962.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1, 1889 to October 21, 1926 staff gage maintained four miles downstream, October 21, 1926 to June 21, 1931 continuous recorder maintained at site four miles downstream at unknown datum. June 13, 1931 to July 1, 1955 continuous recorder at present location at unknown datum. October 2008 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform. Datum of gage is 350.00 ft. above mean sea level, determined by Tennessee Valley Authority.
REMARKS - Records good except as noted. Flow is regulated by storage and power operations at numerous reservoirs above the station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum stage, 69.24 ft., May 8, 2010; minimum stage 53.70 ft., Oct. 31, 2013.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
