LOCATION - Lat 45°56'51", long 88°12'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 sec.14, T.40 N., R.18 E., Florence County, WI, Hydrologic Unit 04030106, on right bank 900 ft downstream from Brule Island Dam, 1.5 mi upstream from confluence with Michigamme River, and 2.8 mi north of Commonwealth, WI.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,020 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR MI-91-1: 1990(M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1989 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 1,130 ft above NGVD 1929.
COOPERATION - Gage-height record was provided by We Energies, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by powerplant 900 ft upstream and by Lower Paint Dam 8.2 mi upstream. Records not adjusted for diversion to Michigamme River by Paint River Diversion Canal.
