LOCATION - Lat 42°43'00", long 83°05'15" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.31, T.4 N., R.12 E., Macomb County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04090003, on left bank 1,000 ft east of bridge over dam on Stony Creek, 2.7 mi west of Washington.
DRAINAGE AREA - 68 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR MI-77-1: 1976.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1963 to January 2014 (discontinued). Prior to October 1996, month end elevations and contents only.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 790.00 ft above NGVD 29 (levels by Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority).
REMARKS - Lake is formed by an earth fill dam with concrete spillway completed in 1962. The spillway section includes a drum gate and 2 sluices, one on each side, with valve controls capable of draining lake. The lake began filling February 1963 and is used for recreational purposes.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 13.77 ft, May 24, 2004; minimum recorded, 4.71 ft, Nov. 21, 1967.
