LOCATION - Lat 40°51'02", long 83°15'23" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Wyandot County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 04100011, Gage located 2 miles northeast of Upper Sandusky on left bank at downstream side of County Road 121 bridge, 0.7 mi downstream from unnamed right bank tributary and 0.8 mi upstream from Rock Run.

DRAINAGE AREA - 298 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1921 to December 1935, January 1938 to September 1981, November 2000 to current year. Gage height records collected at site 3 mi upstream since 1912 (fragmentary) are contained in reports of National Weather Service.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 791.98 ft (NAVD 1988). October 1964 to October 2012 datum of gage was 792.25 ft (NGVD 1929). Prior to October 1964 datum of gage was 792.8 ft (1912 adjustment). Prior to Sept. 14 ,1924, nonrecording site at 1912 datum. Water-quality data collected at site 1969-1980.

REMARKS -

Records good for water year 2014. Periods of estimated record are poor. Oct. 1, 2014 to Jan. 7, 2015, records good, except for periods of estimated record, which are poor: Jan. 7, 2015 to Mar. 31, 2015, records fair, except for periods of estimated record, which are poor: Mar. 31, 2015 to May 18, 2015, records fair: May 18, 2015 to Nov. 15, 2015 discharge records good. Nov. 16, 2015 to Mar. 7 2016, discharge records fair. Mar. 8, 2016 to Sept. 14, 2016, discharge records rated good. Sept. 15, 2016 to Dec. 13, 2016, discharge records rated fair. Dec. 14, 2016 to Feb. 14, 2017, discharge records rated fair. Feb 14. to Oct. 10, 2017, discharge records rated good. Oct. 11, 2017 to Dec. 16, 2018, records good, except for periods of estimated record, which are poor.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of June 1937 reached a stage of 14.3 ft from high-water marks in gage well. Aug 2007 flood high-water mark inside well 13.89 ft. 11,200 cfs.
