LOCATION - Lat 41°18'28", long 83°09'32" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Sandusky County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 04100011, on left bank at highway bridge on Rice Road, 2.5 mi downstream from Wolf Creek, and 3.5 mi southwest of Fremont.

DRAINAGE AREA - 1,251 mi².

REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 744: 1931-32. WSP 874: 1938. WSP 1144: 1924-30. WSP 1387: 1925, 1928-29, 1931-35. WSP 1912: Drainage area.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1898 to March 1901 (gage height and discharge measurements only, published as "at Fremont"), October 1923 to December 1935, July 1938 to current year. Monthly discharge only for October 1923, published in WSP 1307.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 625.06 ft (NAVD 1988). Prior to October 2014, datum of gage was 626.30 ft (1912 adjustment). Nov. 18, 1898 - Mar. 10, 1901, nonrecording gage at site 4 mi downstream at different datum; Nov. 8, 1923 - Sept. 5, 1930, nonrecording gage at present site at (1912 adjustment).

REMARKS -

Records good for water year 2014. Periods of estimated record are poor. Water-quality data formerly collected at this site. Oct. 1, 2014 to Sep. 16, 2015: discharge records rated fair, except for estimated periods, which are poor. Sep. 16, 2015 to Nov. 17, 2015: discharge records rated good, except for estimated periods, which are poor. Nov. 17, 2015 to Oct. 12, 2016: discharge records rated good, except for estimated periods, which are poor. Oct. 12, 2016 to Oct. 23, 2017: discharge records rated good, except for estimated periods, which are poor. Oct. 23, 2017 to Dec. 10, 2018: discharge records rated good, except for estimated periods, which are poor.
