LOCATION - Lat 46°18'41", long 96°44'03" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.28, T.133 N., R.48 W., Richland County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 09020105, at bridge on County Road 10, about 0.4 mi north and 0.1 mi east of Dwight.
DRAINAGE AREA - 294 mi² of which 16 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DAILY DISCHARGE--Water years 1944-1949 (monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1308); 1950-1973, 1975, and 1995-2002, annual peak discharge only; March 2003 to current year (seasonal records only).

Water-stage recorder. Datum of the gage is 906.73 feet above North American Vertical Datum 1988 (NAVD88) and 900.00 feet above National Geodetic Vertical Datum 1929 (NGVD29).

Prior to October 1, 2022, Datum of gage was 906.98 ft., NAVD88 (surveyed by Interstate Engineering, 12/18/2018).

Prior to October 1, 1994, nonrecording gage at site 0.3 mi downstream at datum 926.08 ft above NGVD29.

REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records fair except for the 2020 water year, when record was good.  Estimated discharges are poor, unless otherwise noted.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - A peak stage of about 16.0 ft occurred in April 1943, site and datum then in use.
