LOCATION - Lat 47°25'58", long 98°01'38" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.26, T.146 N., R.58 W., Griggs County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 09020203, on right bank at Ueland Dam 0.7 mi downstream from State Highway 200 and 5 mi east of Cooperstown.
DRAINAGE AREA - 6,470 mi² of which 5,200 mi² probably is noncontributing. includes 3,800 mi² in closed basins.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1728: Drainage area. WRD ND-80-1: Gage datum.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DAILY DISCHARGE--October 1944 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1308.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--DAILY GAGE HEIGHT--October 2000 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and artificial control. Datum of gage is 1272.94 ft above NAVD88. Datum was converted to NAVD88 using the National Geodetic Surveys VDATUM transformation tool. Prior to conversion to NAVD88 datum was published as 1,271.76 ft above NGVD29.

August 3, 1950, to October 22, 1985, gage located on right bank 300 ft downstream at datum of 1,271.76 ft above NGVD29.

October 1944 to August 3, 1950, non-recording gage at site 150 ft downstream at datum of 1,271.76 ft above NGVD29.

REMARKS -

Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except for the 2019 and 2020 water year, when records were fair.  Estimated discharges are poor, unless otherwise noted.
