LOCATION - Lat 48°54'48", long 97°55'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.29, T.163 N., R.56 W., Pembina County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 09020316, on southeast corner of State Highway 32 bridge, 0.5 mi south of Walhalla, and 7 mi downstream from Little South Pembina River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3,350 mi². approximately.

REMARKS -

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - A peak flow of 23,100 ft³/s, peak stage, 16.53 ft (from floodmark) occurred on April 25 or 26, 1997. A measured flow of 22,500 ft³/s, stage, 16.20 ft, occurred on April 26, 1997.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak flow, 20,600 ft³/s, May 21, 2013, peak stage, 17.25 ft; Maximum peak stage, 19.2 ft, April 18, 1950 at site 5.5 mi upstream, about 16.2 ft, at present location and datum.
