05341550 ST. CROIX RIVER AT STILLWATER, MN
LOCATION - Lat 45°03'22", long 92°48'14" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.22, T.30 N., R.20 W., Washington County, MN, Hydrologic Unit 07030005, The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers stage transducer and DCP are located on the downstream side of the lift bridge in Stillwater at Pier 2. The USGS ADVM gage is located on the upstream side at the Pier 5 bump out.
DRAINAGE AREA - 7,060 mi². from Streamstats.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2011 to current water year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and velocity recorder. Datum of gage is sea level (NGVD 1912).
REMARKS - Backwater from Mississippi River at all times. Seiche occurs in windy conditions.

Records good except those for estimated discharges, which are poor.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 54,200 ft³/s, stage, 685.80 ft, July 16, 2016; maximum stage, 688.48 ft, March 31, 2019.
