LOCATION - Lat 46°02'56", long 89°59'04" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.10, T.41 N., R.4 E., Iron County, WI, Hydrologic Unit 07050002, on right bank 10 ft upstream from East River Trail bridge, 2.3 mi upstream from Little Bear Creek, 7.7 mi southwest of Manitowish Waters, and 5.3 mi upstream from mouth.   
DRAINAGE AREA - 81.3 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1991 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 1,574.46 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to October 1, 2004 datum of gage was 2.00 ft lower.
REMARKS - Records are considered poor. For records status prior to October 1, 2013, see remarks printed in annual water-data reports. Starting with the 2005 water year the datum was raised 2.00 ft to avoid negative gage-heights. The change to the datum was necessary due to a new bridge and the removal of a beaver dam downstream of the gage. Data-collection platform at station.
