LOCATION - Lat 40°16'06.25", long 103°48'04.29" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.31, T.4 N., R.57 W., Morgan County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 10190012, on downstream side of Rainbow Arch Bridge, 70 ft downstream from bridge on State Highway 52, 0.3 mi north of Interstate Highway 76, and 0.7 mi north of Fort Morgan.
DRAINAGE AREA - 14,648 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2010: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1943 to September 1958, December 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 4,260 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Oct. 1, 1943 to Sept. 30, 1958, at same site, but different datum. Dec. 7, 2001 to Sept. 14, 2013, at site 350 ft downstream, at same datum.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 60,000 ft³/s, Sept. 15, 2013, from rating curve extended above 39,000 ft³/s, gage height, 25.73 ft, from flood marks.
