LOCATION - Lat 39°03'42", long 96°45'58" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.10, T.23 S., R.6 E., Geary County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 10270101, on right bank, 2.3 mi downstream from the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill Rivers and at mile 168.1.
DRAINAGE AREA - 44,870 mi². of which a large area is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Changed the start time of the correction on 5.25.2023 from 0945 to 0930 because there was one data point that was had no correction. Change made on 02.06.2024. 
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1963 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,031.40 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to May 25, 2005, gage 1.0 mi upstream at datum 3.29 ft higher.
REMARKS - Natural flow affected by reservoirs in Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas, and by numerous diversions upstream from station. Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in July 1951 reached a stage of 34.5 ft, from information by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
