LOCATION - Lat 37°43'01.73", long 92°51'27.26" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.01, T.34 N., R.18 W., Dallas County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 10290110, approximately 300 ft. below outlet of spring, 1.5 mi upstream from Niangua River, approximately 12 miles west of Lebanon in Bennett Spring State Park.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Sep 1916 to Mar 1920, Oct 1928 to Sep 1941, Oct 1965 to Jan 1996, Feb 8, 2007 to current year. Prior to Mar 1920 and from Oct 1939 to Sep 1941 monthly discharge only published in WSP 1310. Occasional discharge measurements 1923, 1964, and 1965.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 865.03 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Sept 1916 to Mar 1920, in the vicinity, datum unknown; Oct 1928 to Apr 11, 1934, at site 1,780 ft downstream at datum 2.30 ft lower; Apr 12 to Dec 13, 1934, nonrecording gage; Dec 14, 1934 to Sept 1941, water-stage recorder at present site and datum; and Sept 1941 to May 25, 1987, nonrecording gage at present site and datum.
