LOCATION - Lat 35°38'14.12", long 89°36'33.76" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Tipton County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 08010208, at bridge on U.S. Highway 51, 6.5 mi north of Covington, and 1.5 mi west of Rialto, and at mile 34.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2,308 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2003 to current year. Low flow measurements, water years 1977 and 1978.
GAGE -

Data collection platform operated by Memphis District Corps of Engineers. Datum of Gage is 239.753 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000), GEOID18).

Prior to 05/26/2023 the Datum of gage was 239.81 ft above NGVD of 1929 determined by the Memphis District Corps of Engineers.

REMARKS - Records good, except for estimated record which is considered poor and other periods as noted. The period January 13, 2020 to March 25, 2020 is considered to be fair.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in 1937 reached a stage of 23.54 ft, discharge not determined, maximum discharge of 55,700 ft³/s, determined on June 13, 1946. Minimum discharge 180 ft³/s, determined on July 9, 1943 from reports by Memphis District Corps of Engineers.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge 55,800 ft³/s, May 3, 2011; maximum stage 21.79 ft., May 3, 2011; minimum discharge 301 ft³/s, September 1, 2007.
