LOCATION - Lat 38°28'37.97", long 99°26'15.17" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.21, T.18 S., R.19 W., Rush County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11030008, on right bank at downstream side of bridge 1,000 ft north of State Highway 96, 7.0 mi west of Rush Center.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,256 mi² of which 104 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1969 to current year. Published as "near Rush Center" October 1969 to September 1995.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 2,004.27 ft above NGVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Natural flow affected by groundwater withdrawals, diversions for irrigation, and return flow from irrigated areas. Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - A peak flow of 5,790 cfs at a stage of 34.00 stage was recorded on July 21, 1993.
