LOCATION - Lat 37°16'00", long 95°28'08" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.07, T.32 S., R.18 E., Labette County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11070103, on right bank upstream side of county highway bridge, 4.3 mi east of Cherryvale, and at mile 32.5.
DRAINAGE AREA - 37 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1957 to August 2013 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Current datum of gage is 796.40 ft. above mean sea level. (NAVD88) Previous datum of gage was 795.93 ft. above NGVD of 1929 (levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Prior to May 6, 1958, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.
REMARKS - Records fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Flow completely regulated since 1981 by Big Hill Lake (station 07170695), 1,200 ft upstream. Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - A flood in 1951 reached a stage of 18.92 ft, from information by local residents.
