LOCATION - Lat 34°57'55", long 96°30'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.25, T.6 N., R.7 E., Seminole County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11090203, near right abutment on downstream side of State Highway 56 bridge, 1.6 mi north of Sasakwa, 15.1 mi downstream from Salt Creek, and at mile 17.7.
DRAINAGE AREA - 888 mi². from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.

PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1942 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1311.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 731.78 above NAVD of 1988 determined by GNSS Level II Survey using Alltera network with RTK Trimble R-10 tied to RM-5 by USGS Personnel on 07-29-2019. Prior to 07-29-2019 Datum of gage was 731.76 ft above NGVD of 1929. From Jan. 25, 1996 to Oct.1, 1979, gage at site 6.4 miles upstream at datum 12.58 ft higher. From Sept. 30,1979 to Apr.11, 1946, gage at site 6.4 miles upstream at datum 17.58 ft higher. Prior to Apr. 11, 1946, nonrecording gage at site 6.4 miles upstream at datum 12.58 ft higher.

Flow regulated by Lake Thunderbird (station 07229900) 78.7 mi upstream since March 1965.
