LOCATION - Lat 33°38'43", long 96°09'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Fannin County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 11140101, on south shore of lake near raw water intake structure, 4.7 mi north-northeast of downtown Bonham, 1.7 mi upstream of dam, and at end of Westview Drive.
DRAINAGE AREA - 29 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Mar. 1999 to Sept. 2002 (contents), Oct. 2002 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0 ft above NGVD29 and 0.15 ft above NAVD88. To obtain elevation values in NAVD 1988, subtract 0.15 ft. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - The lake is formed by a rolled earthfill dam with a spillway cut through natural ground. The dam was completed and storage began Apr. 28, 1970. The dam was built by the city of Bonham Water Authority to impound water for municipal use. Data regarding the dam are given in the following table:
