LOCATION - Lat 33°43'42", long 95°34'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lamar County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 11140101, on intake structure 70 ft upstream of right end of dam, 4.4 mi north-northwest of downtown Paris, and 1.9 mi northwest of intersection of Lake Crook Road and US Highway 271.
DRAINAGE AREA - 52 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Mar. 1999 to Sept. 2002 (contents), Oct. 2002 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 1.71 ft below NAVD of 1988. To obtain elevation values in NAVD 1988, add 1.71 ft.  Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Lake Crook Dam is an earthfill dam 3,100 ft long with a maximum height of 38 ft and a crown width of 20 ft. A concrete overflow type spillway 300 ft long is located near the center of the dam. Lake Crook is about 2.7 miles in length with an average width of 0.6 mi, and the shoreline is approximately 12 miles in length. The lake is owned by the City of Paris. Data regarding the dam are given in the following table:
