LOCATION - Lat 33°21'23", long 95°35'41" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Delta County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 11140301, 50 ft downstream of State Highway 19/154 bridge, 1.0 mi downstream from Big Creek, 1.0 mi upstream from Brushy Creek, 3.5 mi downstream from Jim L. Chapman Lake dam, 4.5 mi downstream from Doctors Creek, and 5.6 mi southeast of Cooper.

DRAINAGE AREA - 527 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 368.91 ft above NGVD of 1929; 369.85 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Feb. 15, 1985, at site 360 ft to right and 90 ft upstream at same datum. Prior to Oct. 1, 1970, at datum 6.00 ft higher. Prior to Oct. 1, 2016, at datum 3.00 ft higher. May 9, 1942, to Nov. 8, 1949, nonrecording gage, and Nov. 9, 1949, to May 13, 1955, water-stage recorder at site 1,060 ft to right of present gage. Satellite telemeter at station.

REMARKS - Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically. Since Sept. 28, 1991, flows have been frequently regulated by Jim L. Chapman Lake dam. No known diversions. No flow at times.
