LOCATION - Lat 32°53'35", long 93°49'20" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 sec.16, T.22 N., R.14 W., Bossier Parish, LA, Hydrologic Unit 11140202, near center of channel on downstream side of bridge on State Highway 2, 1.8 mi downstream from Dry Bayou, and 3.2 mi east of Hosston.
DRAINAGE AREA - 57,041 mi² of which 5,936 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 2016 to current, gage heights only. October 1957 to September 1968, gage height and discharge. October 1968 to May 1996 (discontinued), daily gage heights and discharges below 5,000 ft³/s only.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 151.27 ft. above NAVD of 1988. Prior to May 1996, nonrecording gage read once daily. Prior to Feb. 20, 1962, water-stage recorder at same site. Datum prior to May 1996 is 161.56 ft. above NGVD of 1929 (levels by Corps of Engineers).
REMARKS - No daily discharges published. Regulation since July 1942 by Lake Texoma (capacity, 5,392,000 acre-ft), since July 1953 by Texarkana Reservoir (capacity, 2,654,300 acre-ft), and since August 1966 by Millwood Lake (capacity, 1,854,900 acre-ft).
AVERAGE DISCHARGE FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - 11 years (water years 1958-68), 17,920 ft³/s, 12,980,000 acre-ft/yr.
