LOCATION - Lat 33°03'22", long 92°07'15" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.15, T.19 S., R.1 W., Union County, AR, Hydrologic Unit 08040202, in stilling well at downstream end of Felsenthal Lock & Dam.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2011 to current year (gage heights and discharges below 63.0 ft gage height only). Gage-height record for some periods collected at same site since 1984 can be obtained from the Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District
GAGE - Water-stage recorder in stilling well at downstream end of Felsenthal Lock & Dam. Current datum of gage is 0.34 ft. below NAVD88 (GEOID18) EPOCH 2010.0000. Previous datum of gage is NGVD of 1929 (levels by Corps of Engineers). Water-stage recorder with telemetry for Ouachita River at Sterlington (station 07364535) used as auxiliary gage for this station
COOPERATION - Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
REMARKS - Records poor. Discharge computed for stages below bankfull, about 63 ft. Considerable regulation by 5 reservoirs in Arkansas, combined capacity, 3,107,880 acre-ft and a series of navigation locks and dams.
