08189200 Copano Creek near Refugio, TX
LOCATION - Lat 28°18'12", long 97°06'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Refugio County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12100405, Located on left bank on Farm Road 774, at fence line, 100 yards from left bank of stream, toward State Highway 35. 3.6 mi upstream from Alameda Creek, 8.1 mi east of Refugio, and 11.9 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 87.8 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - 1/25/2021 - Re-analysis of the gage height data showed it was in error from 6/26/2020 to 12/8/2020. Discharge for the period was revised and estimated on Jan. 8, 2021, based on removal of gage-height record, which was publicly flagged as equipment malfunction. Although site is driven primarily by rainfall, discharge was estimated using hydrographic comparison with historical flow patterns from nearby sites: 08189500 - Mission Rv. at Refugio, TX. and 08189700 - Aransas Rv. at Skidmore, TX., as well as precipitation data from 08188570 - San Antonio Rv. near McFadden, TX.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum stage since 1921, 22 ft in Sept. 1967, from information by local residents.
