08330200 SAN JOSE DRAIN AT WOODWARD ROAD AT ALBUQUERQUE, NM
LOCATION - Lat 35°02'56", long 106°38'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Bernalillo County, NM, Hydrologic Unit 13020203, approximately 1/4 mi west of the intersection of Woodward Road and South Broadway on Albuquerque's south side. The gage is located on the right bank of San Jose Drain and the shoulder of Woodward Road where a corrugated metal culvert passes under Woodward.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1.82 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - Prior to February 22, 2024 the datum of the gage was 4946 ft above NGVD29 (determined via topographic map).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1993 to September 1996, September 2000 to September 2002, September 2003 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. The channel is concrete-lined above Woodward Road and natural below. Datum of gage is 4929.93 ft above NAVD88 as determined by a GNSS Level II rapid-static survey performed by the USGS on October 6, 2023.
REMARKS - Water years 2014-2017; records fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Water years 2018-2019; records good except for estimated discharges, which are poor.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - PRECIPITATION: September 1995 to November 1995 and September 1999 to September 2009 (daily sums only), October 2009 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage (installed on the roof of the gage house), recording in 0.01 inch-increments.
