08385503 SAND GATE DIVERSION FROM FORT SUMNER CANAL AT FORT SUMNER, NM
LOCATION - Lat 34°28'33", long 104°15'30" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.19, T.3 N., R.26 E., De Baca County, NM, Hydrologic Unit 13060003, 100 ft west of Highway 20 at the south edge of Fort Sumner.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2003 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 4015.58 ft above NAVD88 as determined by a GNSS Level II rapid-static survey performed by the USGS on August 13, 2020. Prior to Aug. 14, 2019, at site 200 feet upstream at different datum. 
REMARKS - Water years 2014-2023, records fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Canal diverts water from Fort Sumner Main Canal back to the Pecos River. No flow for many days each year.
