LOCATION - Lat 42°19'46.56", long 109°30'42.84" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.12, T.27 N., R.107 W., Sublette County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 14040104, on right bank at fish barrier structure, about 3.0 mi upstream from high-water line of Big Sandy Reservoir, 26.5 mi upstream from Little Sandy Creek, and 16.5 mi north of Farson.
DRAINAGE AREA - 322 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1733: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1914 to September 1917, October 1920 to October 1924, October 1926 to September 1934, April 1953 to November 2016, April 2018 to current year (no winter records since 1971). Prior to October 1968, published as Big Sandy Creek near Farson. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1313.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and concrete control. Elevation of gage is 6,805 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to April 28, 1921, nonrecording gage, and April 28, 1921 to August 3, 1934, water-stage recorder at site 1.5 mi downstream from station at different datum. April 17, 1953 to November 11, 1954, water-stage recorder at site 0.5 mi downstream from station at different datum.  November 12, 1954 to November 2, 2016, water-stage recorder at site 2.0 mi downstream from station at different datum. U.S. Geological Survey data collection platform with satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS - Diversions for irrigation upstream from station. Water diverted to Eden Canal bypassed the station at its 1954-2016 location; the Eden Canal headgate had not been used since the station was established at that site.
