LOCATION - Lat 39°15'52", long 110°20'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.09, T.18 S., R.14 E., Emery County, UT, Hydrologic Unit 14060007, on left downstream wingwall of highway bridge, 0.25 mi downstream from railroad bridge at Woodside, and 16.0 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,540 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

The primary reference gage readings and measurement gage heights for visits on 3/7/2019 and 4/16/2019 were adjusted by +0.02 ft due to a datum correction found from levels on 9/10/2019.

Specific Conductance mean daily values were deleted on 6/14/2018 and 7/9/2018 because there was no valid minimum daily value on those days.

Discharge for the period Aug 13, 2021, to Nov 19, 2021, was revised on Dec 14, 2023, based on changes to the stage-discharge rating.

Discharge for the period Mar 22, 2022 to Oct 26, 2022, was revised on Jan 5, 2024, based on changes to the stage-discharge rating.

The peak instantaneous discharge for water year 2022 was revised on Jan 5, 2024, based on changes to the stage-discharge rating.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1909 to December 1910, January to August 1911 (gage heights only), November 1945 to September 1992, and July 2000 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of the gage is 4,610.61 ft above NAVD of 1988 from a Level 2 GNSS survey conducted on August 18, 2023 by U.S. Geological Survey personnel. September 1909 to August 1911, reference point at site about 100 ft downstream of railroad bridge at different datum. November 27, 1945 to October 16, 1954, water-stage recorder at site 215 ft downstream of railroad bridge at a different datum. October 16, 1954 to Mar 25, 2008 at site 200 ft downstream of railroad bridge and datum 1.85 ft lower than previous site. Mar 25, 2008 to present at site 0.25 mi downstream of railroad bridge and new datum.
REMARKS - Records are generally good to fair except for estimated daily values which are poor. Quality of data for specific periods can be obtained by contacting the Utah Water Science Center. Diversions above station for irrigation of about 18,000 acres. Flow affected by storage in Scofield Reservoir, usable capacity, 65,780 acre-ft, since 1926 (see station 09311000).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 11,200 ft³/s, Sep 7, 1991, gage height, 13.49 ft, from rating curve extended above 6,840 ft³/s; no flow at times in some years.
