LOCATION - Lat 36°42'40", long 114°41'40" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.15, T.14 S., R.65 E., Clark County, NV, Hydrologic Unit 15010012, on left bank, 0.1 mi upstream from Battleship Wash, 0.8 mi downstream from Home Ranch, 5 mi northwest of Moapa, 9.5 mi upstream from Meadow Valley Wash, and 26 mi upstream from Lake Mead.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3,944 mi² of which 2,950 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1243: 1914 (M). WSP 1343: 1950 (M). WSP 1733: Drainage area. Drainage area revised on Mar 26, 2021. Original drainage area was  3,820 mi² of which 3,780 mi² probably was noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

GAGE - Water-stage recorder and Cipolletti weir. Elevation of gage is 1,710 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from river-profile map. Oct. 21, 1944 to Sep. 30, 1948, water-stage recorder at datum 1.08 ft higher; Oct. 1, 1948 to April 28, 2009, water-stage recorder at datum 1.02 ft higher.
REMARKS - Diversions for irrigation above station. Beginning Oct. 1, 1976, records do not include part-time diversion about 100 ft upstream, for cooling of powerplants downstream. Normal flow originates from springs in reach 0.9 to 2.5 mi upstream from station.
