10260822 Las Flores Ranch Release from East Branch California Aqueduct, near Hesperia, CA
LOCATION - Lat 34°18'33", long 117°18'57" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, San Bernardino County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18090208, San Bernardino National Forest, in underground vault structure 60 ft east of the West Fork Mojave River, 0.3 mi downstream from Cedar Springs Dam, and 8.1 mi south of Hesperia.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
GAGE - Six inch and twelve inch Venturi tube metering systems. Flows are recorded separately on seven-day circular chart recorders.
COOPERATION - Records, including flow through 30" Cone Valve and 5'x9' Slide Gates (station 10260820), collected by California Department of Water Resources, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 2426.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Silverwood Lake (station 10260790). Lake stores water received from the East Branch California Aqueduct through Mojave Siphon Powerplant (station 10260780) until it is transferred to Santa Ana River Basin area through Devil Canyon Powerplant (station 11063682). Las Flores Release from the East Branch California Aqueduct delivers water to vicinity of West Fork Mojave River.
