  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

Datum of gage is 2,635.92 ft above NAVD of 1988. See WSP 1314 for history of gage changes prior to Mar. 28, 1938. Mar. 28, 1938, to Apr. 14, 1966, at site 350 ft upstream at datum 15.00 ft higher. Apr. 15, 1966, to July 17, 1969, at site 350 ft upstream at datum 13.00 ft higher. From July 18, 1969, to Oct. 13, 2003, at present site at datum 10.00 ft higher.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Mojave River Forks Reservoir, capacity, 89,700 acre-ft, since 1971, 17.8 mi upstream; Silverwood Lake, capacity, 74,970 acre-ft, since 1972; and Lake Arrowhead, capacity, 48,000 acre-ft, since 1922. Some water is imported into basin. Diversions and pumping for irrigation and for Mojave State Fish Hatchery upstream from station. See schematic diagram of Mojave River Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 70,600 ft³/s, Mar. 2, 1938, gage height, 33.7 ft, present datum, from rating curve extended above 10,000 ft³/s, on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow; no flow Sept. 21-23, 1995.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -

DISCRETE WATER-QUALITY DATA:
CHEMICAL DATA: Water years 1967-1982, 2006 to current year.
BIOLOGICAL DATA: Water years 1975-1981.
pH: Water years 1967-1982, 2006 to current year.
SEDIMENT DATA: Water years 1975-1982.

CONTINUOUS WATER-QUALITY DATA:
pH: Water years December 2005 to current year.
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Water years June 1975 to September 1981, December 2005 to current year.
WATER TEMPERATURE: Water years March 1962 to May 1965, June 1975 to May 1980, December 2005 to current year.

REMARKS - Statistical uncertainty and quantitative accuracy are not computed for water-quality time-series records. Remarks on record accuracy are qualitative and are based on an assessment of general site conditions, variance, and the absolute sum of applied fouling and drift corrections. Water temperature records are generally rated good under all conditions.
Specific conductance records are generally rated good under all conditions.
pH records are rated good to fair due to applied sensor fouling and drift corrections. The practice of describing qualitative water-quality time-series record accuracy was discontinued in 2017.
