LOCATION - Lat 32°54'48", long 116°55'38" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.36, T.14 S., R.1 W., San Diego County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18070304, on right side of the old boat ramp, directly left of intake channel, west of San Vicente Dam and 3.6 mi north of Lakeside.
DRAINAGE AREA - 74.2 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1946 to September 1961 (published with San Vicente Creek at San Vicente Dam, at Foster, station 11022000), October 1972 to September 1998, April 2004 to current year. Month-end contents only October 1972 to September 1987.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to October 1987, nonrecording gage at same site.
REMARKS - Reservoir is formed by concrete-gravity dam, constructed 1941-43 by city of San Diego, and raised 2009-13; storage began during construction period. Capacity of reservoir, before dam was raised, at spillway level, 90,230 acre-ft, elevation, 650 ft. Dead storage below lowest outlet before dam was raised, 350 acre-ft, elevation, 493.0 ft. Current capacity of reservoir at the elevation of the spill crest is 249,360 acre-ft, elevation, 766 ft. Reservoir storage includes supplemental water from the San Diego River, Santa Ysabel Creek, and Colorado River basins. No diversion upstream from reservoir. Water is released as required for municipal use. Contents prior to October 2005 based on capacity table in use at that time.
