LOCATION - Lat 33°41'02", long 117°44'40" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Orange County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18070204, in Lomas de Santiago Grant, on left bank, 1.9 mi east of Irvine, and 2.1 mi upstream from confluence with San Diego Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 2002 to April 1, 2014 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and concrete control. Elevation of gage is 275 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - No diversion upstream from station. Irrigation return flow can cause low-flow fluctuations in discharge at times.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 590 ft³/s, Oct. 20, 2004, gage height, 3.33 ft, maximum gage height, 3.43 ft, Dec. 22, 2010, from rating curve extended above 26.3 ft³/s on basis of step-backwater analysis; no flow for many days in most years.
