LOCATION - Lat 34°09'19.7", long 117°23'51.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, San Bernardino County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18070203, in Muscupiabe Grant, in Fontana Water Company's water distribution complex, on afterbay from Southern California Edison Company's Fontana Powerplant, and 3.5 mi northeast of Fontana.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1972 to current year. Records for October 1972 to September 2004 available in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey.  Records after September 22, 2017 are furnished by Southern California Edison Company and are reviewed by the U.S. Geological Survey.
GAGE - Acoustic-velocity meter on outlet pipe.  Elevation of gage is 1,560 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Records were provided by Southern California Edison Co., under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Flow at this station represents outflow from the Fontana Powerplant. See schematic diagram of Santa Ana River Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 60 ft³/s, May 17, 1978 and April 12, 2023; no flow at times in some years.
