LOCATION - Lat 34°39'58", long 118°49'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Ventura County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18070102, Los Padres National Forest, on left bank 300 ft downstream from confluence of Piru and Buck Creeks, 2.3 mi southeast of U.S. Forest Service Hardluck Campground, and 3.7 mi northwest of Pyramid dam.
DRAINAGE AREA - 198 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1976 to September 1978, October 1988 to current year. Records for 2004 to 2010 water years were not published. February 1975 to September 1976, October 1978 to September 1988 in files of California Department of Water Resources.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and concrete control. Elevation of gage is 2,700 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Records were collected by California Department of Water Resources, under the general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 2426.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 11,700 ft³/s, Feb. 23, 1998, gage height 16.45 ft; no flow for many days in most years.
