LOCATION - Lat 37°29'51", long 121°46'21" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.17, T.5 S., R.2 E., Alameda County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18050004, on right bank, 700 ft upstream from diversion dam, and 9.3 mi southeast of Sunol.
DRAINAGE AREA - 33.3 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1994 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 909.17 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to June 29, 2009, at gage datum 2.00 ft lower.
REMARKS - No regulation or diversion upstream from gage. See schematic diagram of Alameda Creek Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 5,730 ft³/s, Jan. 10, 2017, gage height, 10.31 ft. Maximum gage height, 10.98 ft, Dec. 31, 2022. No flow at times during some years.

INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor since October 2008.
REMARKS - Water temperature record for water years 2014 - 2016 rated excellent, some periods experienced no flow. The practice of assigning qualitative accuracy ratings to water-quality data was discontinued in WY2017.
