LOCATION - Lat 37°31'17", long 120°18'31" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Mariposa County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18040008, at gatehouse, 1.1 mi east of Merced Falls, 6.6 mi downstream from Exchequer Dam and 6.9 mi east of Snelling.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

COOPERATION - Record for McSwain Reservoir was provided by Merced Irrigation District under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 2179.
REMARKS - REMARKS (MANU).—Reservoir is formed by rock fill dam. Records represent total contents at 2400 hours. Previously published as part of Merced River below Merced Falls Dam, near Snelling, CA (11270900).
