LOCATION - Lat 37°25'55.88", long 121°00'48.04" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.07, T.6 S., R.9 E., Stanislaus County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18040002, on right bank, 150 ft downstream from bridge on Crows Landing Road, 350 ft west of South Carpenter Road, and 4.3 mi northeast of Crows Landing.

DRAINAGE AREA - 9,694 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1995 to current year.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder with an electronic crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 0.00 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 2.58 ft above NAVD of 1988.

REMARKS - Natural flow of stream affected by storage reservoirs, ground-water withdrawals, diversions for irrigation, and imported water; low flows consist mainly of return water from irrigated areas.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 38,000 ft³/s, Jan. 28, 1997, gage height, 59.23 ft, from rating curve extended above 32,100 ft³/s; minimum daily, 7.5 ft³/s, Aug. 6, 2015.
