LOCATION - Lat 37°50'31", long 120°11'02" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.23, T.1 S., R.16 E., Tuolumne County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18040009, on right bank, 500 ft upstream from Whites Gulch, and 2.5 mi east of Groveland.
DRAINAGE AREA - 16.4 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR CA-85-3: 1980-84 (peaks above base).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1969 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 2,561.79 ft above NGVD of 1929 (levels by Boise-Cascade Corp.).
REMARKS - No storage or diversion upstream from station. See schematic diagram of Tuolumne River Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Jan. 6, 1965, reached a stage of 6.4 ft, from floodmarks, discharge, 1,850 ft³/s.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,950 ft³/s, Mar. 10, 2023, gage height, 7.43 ft, no flow for many days in most years.
