LOCATION - Lat 38°12'41.8", long 120°40'32.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.08, T.4 N., R.12 E., Calaveras County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18040011, on right bank, 150 ft south of Old Stage Road, 0.17 mi from junction of Old Stage Road and Leonard Road, and 1.1 mi north of San Andreas.
DRAINAGE AREA - 22.7 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1950 to September 1959, October 1961 to September 1967 and October 1969 to September 1971 (crest-stage gage), November 2015 to September 2017 (stage only) (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with crest-stage gages. Elevation of gage is 880 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Feb. 13, 1952, staff gage and Feb. 13, 1952, to May 25, 1955, water-stage recorder, at site 600 ft downstream at datum 7.23 ft lower.
REMARKS -  
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,700 ft³/s, Dec. 23, 1955, gage height, 6.62 ft, from rating curve extended above 820 ft³/s on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow; no flow as times during 1950, 1953-59.
