LOCATION - Lat 39°30'15", long 121°27'16" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.18, T.19 N., R.5 E., Butte County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020159, on left bank, 400 ft downstream from outlet at Miners Ranch Dam, and 5 mi east of Oroville.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Data was approved after the site was decommissioned on 9/30/2006. This data has been removed from publication
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1963 to September 2006 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and Parshall flume. Elevation of gage is 815 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Records provided by South Feather Water and Power Agency, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 2088.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Miners Ranch Reservoir, capacity, 912 acre-ft. Canal completed in November 1962. Water is used for irrigation. See schematic diagram of South Fork Feather River Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 65 ft³/s, Aug. 17-20, 1963; no flow for several days in 1965, 1969.
