LOCATION - Lat 39°12'49", long 120°50'39" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.34, T.16 N., R.10 E., Nevada County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020126, at left bank downstream end of spillway on Dutch Flat Afterbay Dam, and 0.6 mi north of Dutch Flat.
DRAINAGE AREA - 21.5 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR CA-82-4: 1978, 1979 (instantaneous maximum discharge), 1980.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1965 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and concrete control. Elevation of gage is 2,600 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Records were collected by Nevada Irrigation District, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 2266.
REMARKS - Water is imported from South Yuba River Basin via Drum Canal above forebay. Chicago Park Flume diverts upstream from station to Chicago Park Powerplant. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 4,240 ft³/s, Feb. 17, 1986; minimum daily, 0.08 ft³/s, Mar. 8-19, 1968.
