LOCATION - Lat 38°42'16.3", long 121°09'51.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.24, T.10 N., R.7 E., Sacramento County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020111, on right bank, upstream of Folsom Lake Crossing bridge, 0.47 mi downstream from Folsom Dam, and 2.0 mi north of Folsom.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,863 mi².

CONTINUOUS WATER-QUALITY DATA:
WATER TEMPERATURE: Water years October 1, 1998 to October 16, 2009, station was located just below the Folsom Dam spillway. October 2009 station was relocated approximately 1.5 mi downstream to accommodate spillway construction. February 29, 2017 sensor was destroyed by high flows during winter storms. May 9, 2017 station was relocated 0.42 mi below the completed spillway per the contract with BOR. (water years 199-2023, daily).

REMARKS - Water temperature is affected by upstream releases from Folsom Dam.
