LOCATION - Lat 38°35'15", long 122°51'40" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Sonoma County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18010110, in Sotoyome Grant, on right bank, 0.25 mi upstream from mouth, 0.4 mi downstream from Mill Creek, 1.7 mi south of Healdsburg, and 13.5 mi downstream from Warm Springs Dam.
DRAINAGE AREA - 217 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1980 to current year, (November 1980 to September 2014, low-flow records only).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and velocity meter. Datum of gage is 56.70 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Some diversions for irrigation upstream from station. Flow regulated by Lake Sonoma, 13.5 mi upstream, beginning October 1983. See schematic diagram of Russian River Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 19,600 ft³/s, Feb. 26, gage height, 33.96 ft, maximum gage height, 34.66 ft, Feb. 27, 2019; minimum daily discharge, 6.9 ft³/s, Oct 1, 1993.
