LOCATION - Lat 44°16'44", long 114°44'02" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.17, T.11 N., R.15 E., Custer County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17060201, Sunbeam quad., Challis National Forest, 17 miles west of Clayton, 0.5 miles upstream from mouth, on right bank.
DRAINAGE AREA - 189 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1921 to February 1949, October 2011 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage datum is arbitrary. Prior to Dec. 14, 1937, staff gage at site 2,000 ft downstream at different datums. Dec. 14, 1937, to Feb. 1949 at datum 5.00 ft higher.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 3,380 ft³/s, June 1, 2017, gage height, 12.25 ft; minimum daily, 10 ft³/s, Dec. 5, 6, 1927.
