LOCATION - Lat 44°45'04.13", long 122°16'58.12" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.35, T.9 S., R.4 E., Linn County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17090005, near right end of Big Cliff Dam on North Santiam River, and at mile 58.1.
DRAINAGE AREA - 453 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2013 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is NGVD of 1929 (levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers).
COOPERATION - Capacity table furnished by U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
REMARKS - Reservoir is formed by concrete, gravity-type dam with gated spillways completed in 1953 by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; active capacity for reregulating purposes, 2,930 acre-ft. Lake's primary purposes are reregulation of water released from Detroit Lake, flood risk management, hydropower, water quality improvement, irrigation, fish and wildlife habitat, recreation and improved navigation.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation, 1,205.79 ft Feb. 17, 2018; minimum, 1,163.44 ft July 19, 2023.
