LOCATION - Lat 26°38'47", long 81°26'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.21, T.44 S., R.29 E., Hendry County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090205, at southeast corner of intersection of State Road 29 and Sears Road, and 3.6 mi west of Sears.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 175 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 135 ft, bottom of last opening 175 ft. Corrected.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 30.33 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of casing, well HE - 555, 32.83 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 16, 1975 to Oct. 2, 1991; Top of shelf, 32.77 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 1, 1991 to present. See REMARKS.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1975 to December 1975 (monthly), January 1976 to October 1983 (daily), November 1983 to September 1984 (monthly), October 1984 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger with pressure transducer.
REMARKS - Station reconstructed February 27, 1992. Published figures of water levels as elevation, in feet NGVD, from January 1975 to September 30, 1978, require a -2.80 ft correction. Published records from October 1, 1978, to September 30, 1986, require a +1.99 ft correction. Corrected data are in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey. See DATUM.
